California has approved the transfer and distribution of cannabis over state lines if it done in compliance with state regulations (SB 1326). Does that mean your California distribution company can now provide cannabis to Nevada, or New York? Not yet. But it is a huge step forward. The federal government still needs to pass a law that prohibits the expenditure of federal funds to prevent the interstate transfer of cannabis if it is done in compliance with state law (similarly to what it did with cannabis being sold within a state where cannabis is legal). This may actually happen, so you may want to start planning now.
