Masters Degree in Medical Cannabis!
The University of Maryland is defining the first of its kind, accredited path for the medical cannabis industry. With cannabis currently legal in 33 states–as well as Washington, D.C., Guam and Puerto Rico–there is a clear and growing demand for trained professionals in the field. As Natalie D. Eddington (PhD, FCP, FAAPS, dean and professor at UMSOP) says,
“This number is only expected to increase in the future, fueling a demand for an educated workforce that is well-trained in both the science and therapeutic effects associated with this medicinal plant. Our Masters of Science (MS) in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics has been critically designed to prepare students to meet this demand. Innovations in instructional design throughout the curriculum will provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive impact on communities across the United States.”
This two year program offered through the School of Pharmacy, Intent on providing an option for scaling the workforce, offers innovative curriculum as well as flexibility. Take a look here!
