Two legislators, State Sen. Mike McGuire (D-San Rafael) and Assemblyman Jim Wood (D-Healdsburg), are worried about the lack of protection for small cannabis farms in the new regulations. While Prop 64, which the California voters voted into effect November 2016, called for caps on small cultivation permits, the Department of Food and Agriculture has since discarded those caps and they are not to be found in the proposed regulations released in November 2017.

Marin is gearing up to deliver an ordinance that will allow up to four licenses for delivery only medical cannabis services.
